MISS MARYWOOD CONTEST
On the 11th of November, 2017 Marywood Girls College hosted her 4th annual Miss Marywood Beauty Pageant.
The event started at 2:45pm with the opening prayer and then a beautiful song from the acapella group after which the contest began. There were nine contestants and they all appeared in their casual, traditional and dinner attire. They were also asked some questions about their culture and some were asked reasons why they wanted to emerge the winner and they all gave intelligent answers. At the end of the event Zahra Murphy-Uzohue emerged the winner and she was crowned by the former Miss Marywood Akabogu Amarachi. Nwanze Amanda and Obanya Denise came 1st and 2nd runner up respectively
Most Marywood students admitted that this year’s contest has given them the courage to contest next year. We would also like to congratulate Zarha Murphy on her victory and we hope she would set a good example for all Marywood students to follow.
