This stage a written examination which comprises of English, Mathematics and General knowledge will be taken to gauge their understanding and their potential for success at Marywood Girls College
The third stage is the oral interview conducted by the administrator for the prospective students with their parents.

AGE CONSIDERATION

Marywood Girls college aims at encouraging the leadership qualities and responsible decision making abilities in our students, that is why age is important when it comes to admission process in MGC.

The school recommends that our JSS 1 prospective students should be ten (10) years old by September of entry into the school and should have completed the full program of Primary School . A student in a full boarding school must be mature enough to take care of herself, her environment and face her studies squarely because the school is not structured to take care of very young children who are still emotionally dependent on parents.

The Nigeria National Policy on Education specifies this age requirement as essential and infers that if a child is rushed through the early stages, part of the purpose of the 6-3-3-4 is being defeated and the age limitation is also to ensure that the girls turned 16 years old upon leaving secondary school.
